I believe Sotomayor represents that liberal push to change the way laws are interpreted in a manner that reflects liberal legislative thinking (which is bad enough even when contained within the legislative branch) as opposed to the necessary limits of constructive legal or judicial thinking. The results are of course, a destructive judicial activism that, in the end, does not really structure the law equally and while it claims to render a "living" interpretation of the Constitution, what it really does is destroy the Constitution.
